I have a broad interest in engineering and the interaction between humans and technology, and how engineering can improve and even save lives. My goal and ambition in life is to improve lives through engineering, research, development, effective management, mentorship and leadership.
With 10 years combined industry, academic, and research experience, my goal and ambition is to improve people’s lives through engineering, technology, research and effective project management. I have a passion for the interaction between humans and technology, and how engineering can improve and save lives. My primary industry and research interests lie within biomedical, automotive and aerospace industries. I also want to inspire as many people as I can within engineering, science and technology.
As far back as I can remember I have been fascinated by cars, machines and anything that moves. I have so much passion for engineering, from high revving race cars or superbikes to medical devices that improve and save peoples lives.
I am chartered mechanical engineer with extensive research and industrial experience. I work at the Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering, one of the top 10 biomedical research centres in the world. I collaborate with companies at the forefront of medical technologies (DePuy, Simulation Solutions). My projects have been funded by MeDe Innovation, EPSRC and BBSRC to bring solutions healthcare challenges. I have delivered to major customers such as Rolls Royce and Goodrich.
- Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering: I have extensive knowledge and experience of computational and experimental methods and applications in engineering. I have direct experience and successes in design, analysis, manufacturing and testing.
- Project management and leadership: I have been responsible for planning, managing and completing projects along with managing people.
- Quality management: I have knowledge of ISO quality management systems including ISO 9001 along with other ASTM and ISO standards within industry and academia.
- Research and development: Completed and delivered world class research to contribute to knowledge and solve complex problems.
